DLT Registration for Bulk SMS – Stay Compliant with TRAI
Register your business with the TRAI-mandated DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) platform to send SMS legally, avoid spam penalties, and build customer trust.
DLT, or Distributed Ledger Technology, is a blockchain-based system introduced by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to regulate SMS communications and prevent spam. If your business sends promotional, transactional, or service-based SMS to customers,
DLT registration is mandatory.
With this system in place, only verified businesses are allowed to send messages using pre-approved Sender IDs and message templates — protecting consumers and maintaining trust.
DLT registration applies to any individual, business, or enterprise that sends bulk SMS for:
- Marketing promotions
- Order confirmations
- OTPs and authentication
- Payment and delivery alerts
- Appointment or service reminders
Whether you’re a bank, school, healthcare provider, e-commerce business, or utility company, DLT registration is required to ensure your messages are delivered legally.
We’ve made DLT registration easy to understand. Follow these four steps:

Entity
Registration
Start by registering your company on any DLT portal
with the required KYC documents, such as PAN, GST, CIN, or TAN. Once verified, you’ll receive a
unique Entity ID.

Header (Sender ID) Registration
Register your sender names—also called headers—based on the type of SMS (Promotional, Transactional, or Service). Each header gets a unique
ID used across all
DLT platforms.

Content Template Registration
Every message you send must follow a pre-approved template format. You’ll need to register your SMS templates, including dynamic variables (like names, order numbers) and your brand name.

PE-TM Chain
Binding
Connect your business
(Principal Entity) with
an authorized
Telemarketer. For PRP Services, use our Telemarketer ID:
1102461800000042573
Make sure your business follows these key rules:
- Oct 1, 2024: All message variables must be pre-tagged (e.g., {#name#}, {#otp#}, etc.)
- Oct 11, 2020: All templates must clearly include your brand or business name
- Approved sender IDs and templates are shared across all telecom operators, so you don’t need to register on every portal separately.
You can register on any of the following DLT platforms:
Before DLT | After DLT |
---|---|
No sender ID verification | Unique, verified sender IDs |
Templates managed manually | Registered, approved templates |
Limited message categorization | Standardized: Promo, Transactional, Service |
No Telemarketer binding | PE-TM chain binding required |
Use our registered Telemarketer ID for faster approval:
